4 Romantic 4th of July Ideas
By: Aesha Adams-Roberts
Parades, hot dogs, and cherry pie are as American as the 4th of July. But sometimes you can get stuck in a rut celebrating the same way. Turn up the heat in your relationship and create your own fireworks with these four romantic date ideas for the 4th of July.
1) Go to the festival: Many cities have free (or nearly free) festivals with themes like food, music, or art. The 4th of July is a great time to check them out for a fun date. Go to http://www.Festivals.com to find local festivals in your area.
2) Outdoor concerts: Grab a blanket or lawnchair and enjoy the outdoor concerts in your city. Enjoy your favorite music or listen to a band you've never heard before. Parks, cafes, coffee shops and music schools are great places to look for a concert near you. (Some cities often have comedy concerts as well, so don't just limit yourself to music).
3) Watch the Fireworks: What's a 4th of July celebration without fireworks? Make watching them extra romantic by sharing a kiss–you can truly say you felt fireworks!
4) Late Night Picnic: Scouting out a spot for the fireworks can be difficult when it seems the entire city is there! Get ahead of the crowds by having an evening picnic in the place you'll also watch the fireworks. Bring wine, champagne or sparkling cider, feed each other chocolate covered strawberries and snuggle up under a blanket as you wait for the fireworks to start.
The 4th of July is not just for families and kids–it's for romance too! What's your favorite way to celebrate the holiday? Please share in a comment below!
